This is just a quick note of frustration. I’m trying to start a retail business at the moment on the side from my day job at MWI and of course I need some display cases and a counter and such (the business will be a skateboard shop).
Do you know how hard this stuff is to find? It’s amazing. NOBODY who builds or sells this stuff is doing a good job marketing themselves online.
I’ve searched the phone book. I’ve searched eBay. I’ve searched Google. All the websites that come up are uber lame and the product they have looks like what I might find in a closed down JC Penney and that means depression. For some reason old retail display cases make me depressed. They make me want to lounge around and eat ice cream and watch old martial arts films like Master of the Flying Guillotine. Believe it or not I spelled that right the first time, although I did have to check.
I go into stores and they have good stuff, but I can’t find anyone online who has a decent website and can show me some good product. So I called the Hawk Shop and they said it all comes from corporate, so they couldn’t tell me where they got their stuff.
Anyway, I’m just griping. I’m tempted to go into this business myself because I could build a nice website for myself that would blow everyone else’s away and I could find some good product and clean house. Anyone want to be my business partner? Just send me $250K and I’ll take care of it.
