Sales / Business Development Position

Posted October 30, 2006 under Jobs / Careers

We are not necessarily hiring, but we at MWI are exploring the possibility of hiring someone to do sales / business development here, selling high-end web design, search engine optimization, SEO consulting and trainingsearch engine marketing services.

I believe the right person could make $250-500K+ per year. If you're interested, read on.

What We're Not Interested In

1. Somebody to watch the phones. I've already got someone doing that for minimum wage.

2. Somebody to close deals. Due to the oftimes technical nature of what we do the sales process can require a bit of time and technical knowledge not generally found in a sales / bizdev person, and we are not expecting it. We don't need somebody to close deals, we need...well, see below.

3. Somebody who is comfortable with the base salary we offer. We will not pay you enough of a base to live on. If you're not a successful salesperson here, you're going to go hungry.

What We Are Interested In

1. Somebody who is out of the office 90% of the time meeting with people.

2. A lead generator. Find new business, get them interested, bring it to us and we'll close it.

3. Somebody who is more interested in commission potential than a comfortable base. Will offer a small base, but a 30% commission. The projects we're going after...that is, the projects you'd be going after would be in the $30-250K range. You can do the math on what you'd earn from one deal, and yes, there are plenty of those deals out there. The question is whether you know how to find them and hook them.

If you're interested send an email to jsteimle@mwi.com.
