Search Engine Marketing Consultant, Entry Level, Omniture

A friend of mine at Omniture is looking for an entry level search engine marketing consultant type person. You must look virtually identical to the Asian guy in the photo to get the job. Don’t ask me, it has something to do with Sarbanes Oxley. Misrepresentation, you know, that type of stuff.

I’m kidding, of course. Sarbanes Oxley wouldn’t have anything that foolish in it, would it? Here’s the full job description, just in case.

Provides accurate and timely technical support to Omniture SearchCenter customers via telephone and email. Manages support issues of a complex and technical nature with varying degrees of priority. Addresses incidents within predetermined service levels, requiring the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Carries out projects as assigned and supports other team members in order to represent Omniture in a professional manner.

This position is specific to supporting Omniture SearchCenter, a rapidly-growing bid management and optimization platform. Applicants with search engine marketing or bid management experience will receive special consideration.

Description

* Provides customer support via telephone and email
* Educates customers on the use of Omniture SearchCenter
o Assists in testing new and enhanced version releases
* Manages projects professionally and within stated timelines
* Accurately records and maintains incidents in accordance with department standards
* Assists Engineering and Implementation staff in resolving SearchCenter product issues
* Validates and reports customer submitted bug reports
* Participates in department team meetings
* Assists in special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* At least one year experience in a customer support environment, preferably in a high-tech setting
* One year of SEM experience with tier 1 and tier 2 search engines strongly preferred, but not required
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to systematically and effectively troubleshoot problems while ensuring customer satisfaction within stated service level goals
* Extensive knowledge of MS Office, email, and how the Internet and websites work
* Understanding of HTML, Javascript, and web protocols

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION GIVEN FOR

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
* Experience using web analytics tools (e.g., SiteCatalyst, Hit Box, etc.)
* Experience using bid management tools (e.g. Atlas, KeywordMax, etc.)
* Knowledge of Internet Marketing
