Leadership – New Blog Category

I’m starting a new section of this blog entitled “Leadership,” not because I’m an expert on leadership or a great leader, but because it is something I’m interested in learning more about, and if I have a section on my blog about it then chances are I’ll end up doing more research in order to be able to write content on the subject.

In addition I’ll add the disclaimer, which I may have already added more than once on this blog, that I post on this blog not because I am trying to make a bunch of money off of it by people clicking on ads, not that I mind people clicking on ads (hint, hint), nor do I write because I want to be well-known, nor because I think I am any great expert on anything. I write because I like writing, even if nobody is reading what I write…

I just took a short break to check my stats to see how many people do read what I write, because I don’t really track it and had little clue. Turns out that donloper.com had 3,626 unique visitors last month. The vast majority stayed less than 10 seconds, which I suppose means they thought they were going to find something other than what they found, but several hundred stuck around a bit longer. A more accurate measure of how many people really read the blog is the number of RSS subscribers it has, which is 53. A few weeks ago I think I had 41, so I guess it’s moving slowly in the right direction.

Well, that’s cool, but even if nobody were subscribed to this blog I’d still be writing the same stuff. I don’t know exactly why, I just know that I like writing out my thoughts, and the blog helps me do it. If anything I write is of interest to somebody or helps them in any way, then that’s cool too.
