Have you heard the Training Table’s radio ads lately for their low-carb burgers? When I say they’re a little behind I don’t mean that’s what you get from eating them, I mean they missed the boat, they’re not on the ball, they’re not with it, they’re a tad bit off.
Aside from the ads being a bit annoying in their execution, low-carb is super outdated. The low-carb craze peaked 1-2 years ago, and if a company really wanted to capitalize on it they should have been coming out with low-carb alternatives about 4 years ago. For TT or any restaurant to be running high-profile ads for low-carb stuff right now makes them look like they’re behind the times.
If a restaurant wants to offer a low-carb alternative, they should do it on the menu in a low-key way. By heavily promoting something that isn’t in style any more you risk showing people how out of style you are, and that means less sales revenue.
