Check Your Email

Posted September 14, 2006 under Miscellaneous

About three weeks ago I had an issue with my donloper.com email. I check a lot of email addresses through my email client and since my donloper.com email was acting up I turned it off. Then I forgot to turn it back on again until about three hours ago. 467 messages, included 68 notifications about new comments on the blog. So, in case you're wondering why I haven't been approving any comments lately or responding to emails, that's why.

Man, I was wondering why everybody stopped commenting on my blog all of a sudden. I guess I could have looked at the comments section instead of waiting for the email notifications, but...well, I guess I had other things on my mind.

That's like checking your e-mail after being on vacation or in a lengthy coma. For a brief moment, as all the e-mails come pouring in, you feel that popularity you always longed for in junior high. Once 90% of the e-mail is recognized as spam, reality takes back control.
