What an awesome photo, Joshua! Your kids (if you have any) probably went crazy laughing their heads off at how bulky and microwave-like the computers that we grew up with are. Yes ... I have kids ... and my old photos have been laughed at a million times already. :) It's all good, though. I always love going down memory lane.

Thanks for sharing this great memory. The first computer I got was a Packard Bell which I don't even think they make anymore around '91-93. I'm looking forward to reading a lot more of your site in the future.

Can anybody recall the good old commands we had to memorize and type in before we could even figure out how to work with DOS? Looking back, those days seemed pretty hilarious and pathetic. We had to type in something like :\d:// ... something like that ... just to delete something!

What a great memory! I remember when my dad purchased our first computer - it was the second Mac on the market and it was awesome. We'd put in the disks to play games on it all day...I think we still have them somewhere...

I remember the commodore 64 and the Sinclair ZX81 before that. My phone is more powerful than those computers these days, come to think of it so is my wrist watch!

Ha ha ha! My first computer experience was with a Commodore Pet 64 - my dad had me typing programs out of a book for him, couldn't/wouldn't buy them on a disk. What a great blast from the past.

Radio Shack - coolest new stuff we all need. Just bought an inverter that plugs into my 12 volt outlet in the car, produces 110 AC current, can recharge anything now. I'm already traveling with a pack of rechargers for cameras, digital vaults, etc, and not having to buy, tote, untangle extra car rechargers is a plus.
