Utah Bed and Breakfast in Midway Near Heber / Park City

I’ll put this bluntly–you and your spouse should try this place out. MWI did the website for the Johnson Mill, a Utah bed and breakfast in Midway, which is right next door to Heber and just a few minutes from Park City, back around 2003. We’ve recently started providing SEO services for them as well.

But even though they’re a client, I can say without any bias that this is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed at with my wife. Not just a little nicer than other bed and breakfasts or hotels I’ve stayed at–a lot nicer.

Ok, it’s not as though we’ve stayed at a ton of bed and breakfasts. We’ve stayed at the Hines Mansion in Provo, a condo in Park City, we checked out some place in American Fork but didn’t actually stay there, and a few hotels, and trust me Johnson Mill is soooo much better.

First of all, it’s out in the middle of nowhere. I don’t mean it’s hard to get to or there’s nothing around, I mean it’s isolated, peaceful, tranquil, and quiet. The Hines Mansion is next to a fire station and a police station, for goodness’ sake. The Johnson Mill is next to a small lake (which you can fish in), a river (you can fish in that too), a waterfall, and a lot of trees. And although it feels isolated when you’re there, like you’re out in the country, it’s actually remarkably close to downtown Heber and Park City. We’re talking 3-4 minutes to Heber and another what…10-15 minutes to Park City?

The rooms are bigger than most B&B’s I’ve stayed at, nicer, newer, cleaner, etc. They take serious care of the place and they’re always adding things, putting in new things, and making sure whatever is there works perfectly. The service is impeccable.

If you want to go up with your kids get the Presidential Suite. It’s in a building that’s separate from most of the rest of the Inn so your kids can make some noise and such without you stressing so much.

But if it’s just you and your wife then get the Waterfall Terrace. I know, the photo stinks (we’re redoing all the photos on the site right now, and they’ll be bigger and there will be more of them), but it is definitely the best room. It’s on top, so nobody is above you or next to you, and the balcony overlooks a waterfall right below you and the rest of the view is amazing as well. Trust me, it’s awesome. Oh, and it has a two-person shower. A shower with two nozzles! I need to get one of those at home. Actually what I want is one of those showers with 10 nozzles so you can take a shower in 30 seconds…but I digress.

Oh, and here’s an added bonus. The owners were in the movie business, so there’s some cool memorabilia in the basement, which is also a gameroom. Like a monkey mask from Planet of the Apes. The 70′s version. No, I swear, it’s one of the actual masks from the movie. The wife used to do hairstyling in Hollywood and totally knows all sorts of people there. She doesn’t run the mill anymore, but when she did it was great because she had all sorts of stories about people.

Anyway, if you’re thinking about it, go for it. You won’t regret it.

I must admit, I chuckled as well, but hey… the post was convincing.

I was looking for some inspiration for our own bed and breakfast website and came accros your page. You have done a good job with this website. The pictures are just first class and really compliment this website.

I am off to look at what others you have done.

    Best of Luck
