MyWebDesignCompany.com Contest

If you could enter a contest for $500 simply by putting a link from your website to another website, and your chances of winning were roughly one in a hundred, would you take 30 seconds and do it? That's my latest experiment in linkbaiting (see My Web Design Company Contest on the MWI blog for complete details). If I get 20 or more links of any quality I'll consider the contest successful, but I'm hoping for something in the neighborhood of 100.

If MyWebDesignCompany.com gets 100 incoming links indexed in Google that means I paid $5 per link. But even with just 20 links I've gotten those links for a paltry $50 per link, which isn't all that bad of a price.

The contest ends September 10th, 2007. We'll see what happens between now and then. In the meantime, post the link somewhere on your website and maybe you'll win.
