Doba / Shopify Integration

It’s been a while since I posted on this experiment. I’ve been sick, had a baby, have been busy with my day job, am training for a marathon, and was just elected a state delegate, amongst other things. I’ve just been busy, and I keep thinking I need to get on this, but then things come up. I had about 45 minutes this afternoon, a half hour of which is gone, so I figured I’d see what I could do during that time.

I am now at the point where I want to figure out how to integrate Doba and Shopify. There’s just one problem–you can’t. At least I haven’t found any way to. As near as I can tell, the way you get a product from Doba to Shopify is that you download image files from Doba, copy all the product information, and then input it to Shopify. There’s no button for “push this product from Doba to Shopify”. Boy, would that be handy. If and when someone develops that tool, please post here in the comments and let us know, because it’s almost a deal-killer for using Shopify with Doba, because apparently there are other shopping carts out there that do have this level of integration.

Or if I’m wrong and there is something out there that will do this (which I highly doubt, or else I’m pretty sure I would have found reference to it online somewhere) please post here as well.

I know the most expensive version of doba has a spreadsheet export option. If Shopify has an import function (which any cart worth it’s salt will) it shouldn’t take much more than a little time to massage the data on the spreadsheet to get it all to lay down and play nice. Let me know if I’m mistaken. Looking forward to seeing the results of this case study.
