You've earned more than a million dollars but have nothing to show for it.

You might be an entrepreneur if...your business has brought in more than a million dollars of revenue but you have nothing to show for it personally.
When I was 21 I had a goal to make a million dollars by the time I was 30. I made that goal in a way, in that I owned a business that had brought in over a million dollars, the only problem was that none of it had made it's way into my personal bank account.

Here's how the revenues break down, roughly.
2000 - $220K
2001 - $400K
2002 - $500K
2003 - $225K (I sold my business and started over at the beginning of this year, hence the dip in revenue)
2004 - $420K
2005 - $480K
2006 - $540K
Total - $2.79M
And how much of that has gone into my pocket? About $100K if I'm not mistaken. That's something like $3.50 for every $100 my business brings in. But hey, I get to put "CEO" on my business card, so that's worth something, right?
digg it!
